🎉 New Year, New Tools: Get Digitally Organised Today
Muse-Hub Starter Kit: Essential Tools for Musicians and Creatives
Happy New Year! 🎊 As we step into 2025, it’s the perfect time to reflect on our goals and lay the foundation for a successful year ahead. For musicians and creatives, staying organised isn’t just about managing tasks – it’s about creating the freedom to focus on what truly matters: your art.
To help you get started, here’s a starter kit of essential tools to download and explore. These will lay the foundation for future Muse-Hub topics, from managing gigs to streamlining your content creation work-flow.
The Starter Kit
A Calendar App: It doesn’t matter which calendar app you use just that you actually use one! Your calendar is essential for managing rehearsals, gigs, deadlines, and personal time. Basic options like Google Calendar and iCal sync across devices, allow reminders, and make it easy to share schedules with band-mates or collaborators.
Trello: This is my go-to for any project. Plan and track creative projects visually. Use Trello boards for album releases, merch launches, or social media strategies. Its card-based system keeps big tasks manageable and progress clear. We will dive into Trello in more detail in the future.
Todoist: I stay on top of all my daily tasks with Todoist. Simple and effective. Use it for tasks like following up on emails, sending invoices or packing gear for gigs so you never forget a mic stand again. Create separate projects, recurring tasks, and subtasks keep everything organised.
A Notes App: Capture your thoughts any time with a simple notes app. This is another case of “I don’t care which one”. Personally I use Apple Notes for simplicity’s sake its perfect for jotting down ideas, lyrics, or set-lists. Organise with folders and search later when you need it. The best notes app is the one you already have.
Why Start Here?
These tools are simple to use but powerful enough to make a big difference in how you manage your digital life which includes your career. By tinkering with them now, you’ll be ready to dive deeper as I share templates, tips, automations and strategies for making the most of them in future Muse-Hub issues.
I strongly believe a huge part of professional and personal success is in the mastery of tools you are likely already using.
See you next Tuesday
Daniel
